  • re: There's no place like high for the holidays

That would be my way to spend the holidays - especially if my mother in law was around! Very funny post!

  • re: Bowl Me Over

I love to watch football and I played in high school but I have never really gotten into all the debates about the leagues and such. I just like the game and none of the politics. I know that they can be important for the league but I can't stand when I hear people arguing about it. I would be a really bad politician.

  • Semtenced To Listen To Classical Music - Cruel And Unusual Punishment ?

Several months ago , a young man by the name of Andrew Vactor got in trouble with the law for playing rap music too loud in public. The judge gave him a $150 fine, but offered to reduce it to $35 dollars if he would listen to 20 hours of classical music, Beethoven, Bach, Debussy etc. Vactor apparently lasted only 20 minutes and decided to pay the fine...

  • Bowl Me Over

As we watch this college football bowl season come to a close, we prepare ourselves for the continued debate that is sure to follow. Thanks to Utah’s recent thumping of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and the still memorable defeat of Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl at the hands of Boise State, the discussion for greater inclusion of non-BCS teams has grown...

  • re: Signs of Success

Well, it looks like everybody is successful - well, mostly. Success is an elusive thing sometimes. When I was in the army there was another soldier who only wanted to be healthy. All of us thought he was nuts, but his goal was really the most important, because when you have your health, you've got everything. If the Ghost would answer the question...

  • Sometimes Life is Good

For those folks who seek to do good for others there are rewards that seem to "pop up out of the pavement". During a family walk the other day I was fortunate to have an unexpected compliment. When it is time to walk the dogs (they never forget to remind us) we go as a family to enjoy the exercise and the fresh air. The bike path, which is...
